The building features a timber frame with 18th and 20th century red brick facing and has red plain tiled roofs. It has a central hall flanked by hipped crosswings on the right and left. There is an off-centre chimney stack to the hall and two chimney stacks to the left crosswing. An outshot extends to the right. The windows include various small paned vertically sliding sashes, 20th century two and three light diamond leaded casements, and a 19th century shop window to the right. The doors are arranged 1:1:1, with a 20th century door to the right of the hall that features stained glass relating to Whippats, dated AD 1300. Additionally, there is a four-panelled two-light door in a simple surround to the left of the hall. The building is reputed to contain moulded ceiling beams.
