Description

This is an 18th-century cottage located on the south side of High Street, Brightlingsea. It is constructed with a timber frame and is clad in weatherboards. The roof is red tiled, with a gambrel shape and a gable facing the road. The cottage is one storey high with attics. It has a single range with small-paned, two-light casement windows with pentice boards above, visible on the front gable. Two similar windows are found on the left return, and there is a 20th-century door. The building is listed for its group value, contributing to the character of the street.
