Description

This is an early 19th-century house located on the east side of South Street, Manningtree. The building is constructed of gault brick with a grey slate roof and decorative parapet verges. A left-hand chimney stack is also present. The house is two storeys and attics in height, with a single-storey lean-to on the left and a single-storey, hipped-roof extension to the right. The main facade has a three-window arrangement of vertically sliding sash windows with small panes and moulded cornices. The central doorway features a round-headed arch, pilasters, and a square head, now with a 20th-century glazed door. To the left of the right extension is a door with a fluted surround, frieze, and flat canopy, leading to a two-panel, four-light door, and alongside it a vertically sliding sash window.
