Description

The Red Lion Public House dates from the 18th or 19th century, or possibly earlier. It is a building of group value. The front of the public house is plastered, while the returns are of red brick. It has a grey slate roof, hipped on the left side and with a ridge chimney stack on the right. Eaves brackets and end pilasters are present. The building is two storeys high, with a four-window front featuring small-paned vertically sliding sash windows with horns. There are simple doorways on the left and right, with the left doorway now blocked.
