Description
Staplehurst is a house that is part of a terrace, dating from the late 18th century and built for Richard Rigby. It is likely constructed of plastered brick and features a red plain tiled roof, with no chimney stack visible from the road. The building has two storeys and attics, with a two-light flat-headed dormer. There is a plinth at the base, and on the first floor, there are two small paned vertically sliding sash windows with moulded surrounds. The ground floor features a similar window on the right, but with glazing bars and horns. To the left, there is a six-panelled door with reveal panels, moulded pilasters with capitals and bases, a frieze, and a flat canopy, accessed by a stepped approach.
