Description

Ivy Cottage is a small cottage dating from the 18th to 19th century. It is timber framed and plastered, featuring a hipped thatched roof and a left chimney stack. The cottage is one storey high and has a three-window range of small paned horizontal sliding sashes. There is a gabled porch with a vertically boarded door. The walls have through bracing, and the roof is supported by side purlins. It is likely that this building was a former gatehouse to Churn Wood.
