Description

This is a row of three cottages located on the west side of Brook Street, Manningtree. Dating to the 18th century, the cottages have undergone later alterations. Numbers 30 and 32 are timber-framed and plastered, while number 34 has a red brick base and a plastered raised first floor. All three cottages have red plain tiled roofs and two red brick chimney stacks. Numbers 30 and 32 are one storey in height with attics containing gabled dormers, whereas number 34 is two storeys high. The windows are small-paned vertically sliding sashes, with a tripartite window on the ground floor of number 34. The cottages have three vertically boarded doors, with those to numbers 32 and 34 paired.
