Description
The cow byre and hayloft, dating from the 18th century, is located adjacent to the southeast of the cartlodge and east of Hill Farmhouse on Bromley Road in Ardleigh. It features an oak timber frame with weatherboarding and a brick plinth, topped with a red plain tiled roof. The structure has two storeys and consists of four bays, with an original manger still in place. There is one stable door and one vertically boarded door, along with two timber louvres. The end bay is divided to provide stair access to the hayloft. The side purlin roof completes the building's design. Hill Farmhouse itself is not listed.
