Description
Ricebridge Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located on Harwich Road in Little Clacton. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with a thatched roof that features two eyebrow dormers. The cottage has a plastered brick chimney stack and is one storey high with attics. There are two ground floor windows and a central window below the eaves level, primarily consisting of leaded two-light casements. To the right, there is a 20th-century half-glazed gabled porch and a 20th-century plank and muntin door. Inside, the cottage showcases a close-studded frame with curved through bracing, halved and bladed top plate scarfs, and stop-chamfered bridging joists on the ground floor. Some original doors with ironmongery and the original winding stairs are also present.
