Description

Brett's Hall is a house of likely 17th or earlier origin. The rear and right return are timber-framed and plastered. The front (south) and left (west) returns have a 19th-century gault brick facing. The roof is red plain tiles, hipped to the left, and outshot to the rear. Red brick chimney stacks are located on the left, right and rear. The front features a parapet, a band below, and a central band. Pilasters are present on the right and left, with the front projecting forward and incorporating end pilasters. It has a four-window range of small-paned vertically sliding sash windows. A gabled red brick porch is present. A three-window range is visible on the left return, with the centre blocked and the ground floor having tall windows.
