Description
Eden Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 16th century or earlier, with a date of 1717 noted on the gable. It is timber framed and plastered, featuring red plain tiled roofs. The building has a gabled crosswing to the right and red brick chimney stacks on the left, central, and right sides. It has two storeys and attics, with the left range comprising a two-storey crosswing.
On the right, there are two gabled dormers with bargeboards. The first floor has a 2:1 window arrangement of vertically sliding sashes, and there is a verandah on the left range with an ornate cornice. To the left, there is a small paned French window with a moulded surround and frieze, a flat canopy, and shutters. The central and right sections feature vertically sliding sashes with shutters, and there is a doorway between these two windows. This doorway has two panels and two lights, with a moulded surround and a lion mask patera. A Greek key frieze motif and flat canopy are also present.
