Description

These are three attached dwellings, likely dating back to the 18th century, perhaps earlier, and originally built for Richard Rigby. The houses have a timber frame and are plastered, with a red plain tiled roof. A red brick chimney stack stands slightly off-centre to the right. The buildings are two storeys high with attics, featuring two flat-headed dormers with 19th-century two-light casement windows. An eaves cornice runs along the top. A brick lean-to, painted, extends from the left return, incorporating a 20th-century entrance door for No. 15. The central house, No. 14, features a central decorative band with a pilaster to the left. It has five small-paned, vertically sliding sash windows on the first floor. Angled bays extend from the ground floor on both the left and right sides; the bay on the Kowloon side (right) has a dentilled cornice and two central small-paned, vertically sliding sash windows. There is a door to the right of each bay: a 20th-century door for No. 14 and a six-panelled door, with pilasters having capitals and bases and a dentilled cornice matching the bay’s, for Kowloon.
