Description

A row of Tudor cottages, built around 1720-1730, located on Frinton and Walton Rectory Road in Great Holland. The cottages are timber-framed with a brick facade now rough rendered, and have red plain tiled roofs. There are three red brick chimney stacks. The cottages are one storey high with attics, featuring six square-headed dormers. They possess a six-window front with leaded casement windows, each containing two or three lights. Four vertically boarded doors are present, each with an inserted diamond light and a segmental head above. Iron tie plates are visible on the right and left sides. Internally, some ceiling beams and bridging joists are visible. Documentary evidence and the structural evidence indicates a construction date around 1720-1730.
