Description
This granary, located approximately 75 metres south west of Doggetts Farmhouse, dates from the early to mid 19th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a grey slate roof. The granary is notably large and well-preserved, reflecting the prosperity of the farm during this period. It stands on seven by three staddle stones and features through bracing in the walls, with a side purlin ridge board roof. There are two vertically boarded doors and ten numbered bins, each equipped with timber slots for moveable partitions. Although the internal walls are not boarded, there are solid timber "run-offs" at all angles where structural angles meet, preventing seed from collecting.
