Description
This granary, located about 40 metres west of Home Farmhouse, is likely from the early 19th century or earlier. It is a timber-framed structure that is covered with weatherboarding and has a hipped slate roof, raised on staddles. The granary is unusually large and square in shape, supported by nine staddles. The exterior features weatherboarding and a door on the north-east side. Inside, there are pegged roof trusses. A sale catalogue from 1942 describes it as a "granary on mushrooms" with six wooden bins made of feather-edged boarding. The nearby planned farmyard, also noted in the 1942 catalogue, is said to have significant additional storage for grain. This granary has group value with Home Farmhouse and the planned farmyard.
