Description
Peter Garrard Hair Salon is a shop that dates from the 18th and 19th centuries. It features a timber-framed structure with ashlar rendering and a plain tile gambrel roof.
On the west side, there are two small and three large flat-roofed dormers that contain leaded light casements. The ground floor has two small-panel doors and three casements with leaded lights. The east side has eight similar dormers, five industrial-type metal windows, and a 20th-century double door. While most of the wall area is rendered, one bay at the southern end is covered in black weatherboarding and has a four-light fixed window.
Inside, the building retains 18th and 19th-century framing, with some reused timber.
