Description

This is a small cottage dating from the mid to late 17th century. It is timber-framed and has a rough render finish. The steeply pitched roof is covered in red plain tiles, with red brick chimney stacks positioned on the right and left sides of the building. The cottage is a single storey with attics, including windows set within the gables. A glazed lean-to has been added to the left, and a further lean-to to the right, featuring a small paned horizontal sliding sash window. There are two small-paned windows with pentice boards above. The central entrance has a vertically boarded door, also with a pentice board above. The building retains a good quality two-bay elm frame, a side purlin roof, and original doors and fittings.
