Description
Lock House is an early 19th-century lock-keeper's house located in Heybridge Basin, Maldon. The house is constructed of painted brick and features a hipped slate roof with a brick stack on each side. It stands two storeys tall and has a three-window range. On the first floor, there are three 2-light small-paned casement windows. The ground floor has a slate hipped lean-to roof over a pair of canted small-paned bay windows, which extends forward to cover an enclosed porch with small-paned windows. Additionally, there is an enclosed lean-to porch on the west side, also with small-paned windows. The interior has not been inspected.
