Description
Ratsborough Farm Cottages are a pair of cottages dating from the 17th to 18th century. They are constructed with a timber frame and have a pebble dashed exterior. The cottages feature a half hipped red tiled roof and a central red brick chimney stack. They are one storey high with attics, and each has two gabled dormers and two central small paned windows. The left and right sides have vertically boarded doors, and there is a rear wing with a gabled dormer. Inside, notable features include chamfered bridging joists, a restored red brick fire surround, and vertically boarded doors with original ironmongery. The top plate is also chamfered. No. 2 was in use as a poison store at the time of the re-survey and was said to be unaltered.
