Description
The Laurels is a house that dates from the 18th and 19th centuries, with a 17th-century rear range and later alterations. It has a rough rendered exterior and a red plain tiled roof, with red brick chimney stacks on both the left and right sides. The building is two storeys high and features a three-window range of vertically sliding sash windows with horns on the first floor, while the ground floor has small paned windows with moulded surrounds. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door with a moulded surround and a flat canopy supported by console brackets. Inside, the front range includes a staircase with stick balusters and six-panelled doors. The rear range has stop-chamfered bridging joists, vertically boarded doors with original ironmongery, and through bracing in the walls.
