Description

This boundary post, located on Goldhanger Road in Maldon, dates from the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a tubular shaft topped with a knob-like finial. The shaft is inscribed with "ECC" for Essex County Council and "BOUNDARY POST." There is also small lettering near the base, though it is now illegible.
