Description

An early 19th-century pair of attached cottages, located on Kelvedon Road in Toleshunt D’Arcy. The cottages are timber-framed and have weatherboard cladding, with a slate roof. They are arranged on a square plan, facing approximately north, and contain two internal stacks. There is a two-storey lean-to extension to the left (number 6), and a single-storey extension to the right (number 4). The cottages are two storeys high, and feature a two-window facade with early 19th-century sash windows of 16 lights. They have two plain boarded doors, each with a trellised gabled porch. The roof is low-pitched and hipped.
