Description

Katherine's is a 16th-century house situated on Peldon Road. It is timber-framed and rendered with plaster, and extends to two storeys with attics. A central red brick chimney rises from the roof, with smaller chimneys at each end. The roofs are ridged and gabled, covered with peg-tiled eaves. A single-storey extension is located to the east. The windows are arranged in sets of three wooden casements. A semi-hexagonal, single-storey bay window with small-paned sash windows is situated to the north of the ground storey. Inside, evidence suggests a former timber stair tower, and a painted ceiling is found in one ground floor room.
