Description
High House is a 17th century timber-framed house located on Kingsmoor Road. It has a rectangular plan and stands two storeys tall. The building features red brick footings and rendered end chimney stacks, with a roof that is ridged, gabled, and covered in peg tiles, complete with eaves. On the first storey, there is a range of three small-paned sash windows set in exposed boxes. The central door on the ground storey has six fielded panels and a rectangular light above it, topped with a flat hood supported by double ogee brackets and framed in a fluted wooden case. There are matching sash windows on either side of the door. Additionally, there is a one-bay, two-storey addition on the northeast side, which is black weatherboarded and has a ridged, gabled, and peg-tiled roof, but it does not have any windows.
