Description
Post Cottages is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier. It is constructed with a timber frame and has a plastered exterior, topped with a peg tiled roof. The building features a central modern large enclosed porch with a gabled roof also covered in peg tiles. On either side of the porch, there are similar three-light casement windows with iron casements and two horizontal glazing bars on each floor. A large red brick chimney stack is located on the ridge hip between the two units, and there are small painted brick stacks at each outer gable end of the original structure. Inside, you can see cambered tie beams and substantial wall plates.
