Description
Willowcroft is a house and former forge dating from the mid 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a peg tile roof that is gabled at the south end and half hipped at the north end. At the south end, there is a lean-to made of boarding that covers an arch-topped inglenook type fireplace featuring wrought iron arched lintel bars. The exterior displays a mix of 19th and 20th century casement windows. Inside, the timber framing from the mid 17th century is visible, along with stop-chamfered bridging joists that frame the stack opening.
