Description

Widows Farmhouse is a house with origins in the 16th century, featuring alterations from around 1840. The building is timber framed and clad in red brick, topped with a hipped grey slate roof. It has two storeys and a two-window range of 19th-century small paned vertical sliding sashes. The central entrance is marked by a boarded door, and there is a central red brick chimney stack. Inside, the farmhouse retains original back-to-back fireplaces and stop-chamfered beams. There is also an 18th-century corner cupboard and original 18th-century doors with ironmongery.
