Description

The barn at Lampetts is an aisled barn dating from the early 17th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a red plain tile half hipped roof. The barn is 10 bays long and features a hipped midstrey facing northwest. Inside, the frame is of high quality, showcasing heavy arcade bracing and a side purlin roof, along with arch braced tie beams. The roof of the midstrey was rebuilt in the 19th century.
