Description

Mill Hatch is a cottage dating from the mid 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped by a half hipped roof covered in red plain tiles. The front features two windows, which are 20th-century casements, along with two gabled dormers that also have casements. At the rear, there is a lean-to extension. The original central chimney stack is made of red brick and was partly rebuilt at the top in the 18th century. Inside, the heavy timber frame is exposed, showcasing the building's structural elements.
