Description

Steers Farmhouse is a 17th-century house that has undergone later alterations, including a late 18th or early 19th-century red brick facing with gault dressings. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tiled roof that features a hip and gablet on the right side, along with a hipped dormer from the 18th century. It has two storeys and attics, with dentilled eaves.

The first floor has three windows, while the ground floor has four windows, all of which are 19th-century small paned sliding sashes. To the right, there is a boarded door set beneath an open gabled brick porch, which includes seats and balusters. The house has a central red brick chimney stack, as well as external red brick chimney stacks on both the left and right sides. Inside, there is an original arched brick fireplace in one of the bedrooms, bladed scarfs to the top plate, and an original door with iron furniture. The property also features some fine 18th-century doors and finishings.
