Description
Weald Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th to 17th century, with later additions and alterations. It features a timber frame that is plastered, with 20th-century decorative pargetting. The roof is covered with red plain tiles and is hipped on both the left and right sides. The building has two storeys and includes a centre gabled crosswing. The window arrangement consists of two windows, a single window, and then two more windows, all of which are casements with glazing bars. There is a 20th-century gabled enclosed porch on the crosswing, which has small paned sidelights flanking a plank and muntin door. Inside, there are internal stop-chamfered beams and back-to-back fireplaces. On the first floor, above one of the fireplaces, there is an original plaster panel that features an arabesque strip, acorns, and depictions of a stag and a pheasant. A red brick chimney stack is located on the left side of the house.
