Description

This is a cast iron pump dating from the late 19th century, located approximately 5 metres south of Pump Cottage on the north side of Sheering The Street. The pump features an acanthus design on its cap and a finial with a thistle design. The handle ends in a knop. The maker's name, 'G. Ingold, Engineer, B. Stortford', is also present. Please note that the edge of the cap is broken.
