Description

The Gate Lodge to Boxted Lodge is a 19th-century building that is single-storey and constructed of painted brick in Flemish bond. The roof is ridged and hipped, covered with slates. The lodge has a T-plan layout and features wide modillioned eaves cornice, pilastered returns with simple capitals, and a three-course eaves band, all resting on a projecting brick plinth. There is a plain contemporary door located in the south-west wall, with windows in each wall bay, consisting of pairs of small-pane hornless sashes.
