Description

GREAT TEY EAST GORES ROAD 1. 5214 TL 82 SE 10/6 Trumpingtons II GV 2. C15 house with later additions, moated site. Now forming a T-plan framed in timber with rendered elevations and pegtiled roofs. Crosswing hipped to south-east hall range ridge and gabled, 3 red brick chimney stacks of later date. The hall range is of the C15 and was open to the ridge, this was 2 bays long and was raised a first storey during the early years of Henry VIII and a first floor was then inserted. The crosswing is jettided to the north-west, has a side-purlin roof and on C18 one bay extension of full height beyond the now internal jetty. A relatively recent building extends the hall range to the south-west. Elevations rendered and re-windowed in late C19 and C20.
