Description

Layer Mill House is a late 18th-century house that has extensive 19th-century extensions. The building features a timber frame and brick that is all plastered, topped with red plain tile roofs. It stands two storeys high, with the east front displaying a three-bay, two-window arrangement of 19th-century casement windows alongside late 18th-century double-hung vertical sliding sashes that include glazing bars. A modern porch has been added to the entrance.
