Description

Great House Farmhouse is a 16th-century house with alterations from the late 18th century. Originally timber-framed and plastered, it has been extensively faced in 18th-century painted brick. The building features one parallel range and has four gables facing the street, standing two storeys high. The window arrangement consists of a 1:1:2:1:1 pattern, with double hung vertical sliding sashes that include glazing bars and are set in segmental heads. The roof is covered with red plain tiles. Inside, the farmhouse retains 16th-century timber framing, which includes stop-chamfered joists and crosswing framing, along with 17th-century bridging brackets.
