Description

Barton House is a late 18th-century house with extensions added in the mid-19th century. The front wall is built of brick, featuring blue headers and a colourwashed finish, with a plinth, rubbed flat arches (now plastered), and stone cills. The roof is tiled, with hipped dormers. The east front is symmetrical, displaying two storeys and three windows. It features sash windows set in reveals. A porch has reeded pilasters, plain Tuscan columns, a simple pediment, and an eight-panelled door. The remainder of the building reflects a vernacular style; some sections are tile-hung and incorporate upper sash windows alongside lower casement windows.
