Description

The barn located south-west of Great Loveney Hall is a 16th-century structure that is timber framed and covered in black weatherboarding. It is oriented east-west and features a corrugated asbestos roof. The barn has one gabled midstrey facing north and originally consisted of five bays, of which three remain. The posts of the barn have jowls, and it includes side-girts and secondary wind-bracing. The roof is a crown-post design with a halved and bridled scarf joint at the collar purlin.
