Description
Great Loveney Hall is a 15th to 16th century house that is timber framed and has been cased in brick, with extensions added over time. The building consists of three ranges aligned east-west, featuring roofs of three different heights. The front elevation faces south and includes a low single-storey unit to the west, a two-storey one-bay unit, and a two-storey three-bay block at the east, all connected. The eastern block has a ridged and fly-hipped roof, while the other two blocks have ridged and gabled roofs, all covered with peg tiles. The western block has red brick walls laid in Flemish bond with pilastered corners. The central front door is set in a wide case with a flat hood supported by consoles. The windows are sash hung, hornless, and sit beneath slightly curved gauged brick heads. There are three red brick chimney stacks spaced along the ridge. At the rear on the west end, one crosswing remains, featuring a hipped end.
