Description
Mill House is a 17th century house that has been extensively altered in the early 18th century and early 19th century. It was probably originally three bays with a chimney bay. The building is timber framed and clad in red brick, topped with a red plain tile roof. It has two storeys and features a four-window range of 19th century double hung vertical sliding sashes set in 18th century exposed frames. At the east end, there is a two-storey 19th century extension that is set back, which includes a single window range of double hung vertical sliding sash plus one circular light at the first floor level. All sashes are set in gauged arches. The main house has dentilled eaves and red and grey brick chimney stacks. Additionally, there is a late 19th or early 20th century single storey extension at the east end.
