Description

Forge Cottage is an early 19th century house located on East Mersea Road. It is likely framed and has a plastered exterior, standing two storeys tall with a pyramidal slated roof. The building features two end chimney stacks and one rear chimney stack made of red brick. There are two plain front doors, each with simple hoods above them. The cottage has four pairs of sliding sash windows with small panes, arranged in a 2 over 2 configuration, all of which are complete and original.
