Description
Brierley Hall is a house dating from around 1800, built on a square plan. The exterior is roughcast with a red brick footing, and the roof is hipped and covered with slate, featuring a V-plan with a valley running from the front to the rear. There are three red brick chimney stacks. The west front has a central portico supported by two fluted Doric columns made of coopered timber, topped with a flat entablature. Above the door, there is a small paned sash window with a round head. The eaves are present, and there are two pairs of small-paned sash windows on either side. The rear elevations are finished with weatherboards. Inside, the house features neo-classical fire surrounds.
