Description

Redwing is a 17th-century cottage located on Colchester Road, West Mersea. The cottage is timber-framed and has been clad with painted weatherboards. It is a single storey with attics, featuring a ridged, gabled roof covered in peg tiles, with red brick terminal chimneys at both ends. Two gabled dormers with multi-paned casement windows are present. A stair window is located beneath the eaves in the centre of the roof. The front elevation contains two pairs of multi-paned casement windows and a plain door with a case between them. At the rear, there is a half-length lean-to and a central, flat-topped dormer.
