Description
Nos 45 to 47 on High Street are buildings with origins in the 16th century, which have been significantly altered in the early 18th century and later. They stand three storeys tall, featuring a timber-framed and plastered structure with tiled roofs. The cellars date back to the 14th century. The front of the buildings has been extensively modified for shop use, while the third storey displays a three-window range of double-hung sashes. At the rear, the upper storey projects on carved brackets, and the east side of the rear wing showcases some fine 17th-century pargetting, including strapwork and foliage.
