Description

Cart Lodge to the west of Upp Hall is a Grade II listed building dating from around 1700. This cart lodge originally had open sides and ends and consists of three bays. It is framed with elm and features oak posts and sills. The structure includes bracing in the wall planes and hanging-knees under the tie-beams. The roof, which has lapped collars and side-purlins, is now covered with corrugated iron and has a ridged and gabled design. The side walls have been boarded.
