Description

EAST MERSEA REWSELL'S LANE 1. 5214 Rewsalls Farmhouse TM 01 SW 23/27 II GV 2. Scratched date second storey: 1851; but appears to be older, and much refashioned. Plan complex but mainly rectangular possibly old timber framing inside. Front of red brick in Flemish-bond with pilaster returns. Stucco eaves cornice and second floor sill-band. Roof hipped machine-tiled. Range of 3 hornless sashes with glazing bars, to first floor, 3 pairs similar sashes on second storey under segmental arches. Three pairs on ground storey to match, all stone sills. Front door 6 panels under open pediment dentilled, without fanlight - on consoles, in moulded case.
