Description

This is a building of mixed origins, dating back to the 15th century, comprising of a central structure with cross wings to the north and south. The north cross wing was rebuilt in the 17th century, while the south wing was altered between the 18th and 19th centuries, including the removal of its gable. The building is two storeys high, with tiled roofs. The upper storey of each wing projects on the east front, supported by shaped brackets on the north wing (number 53) and curved brackets on the others (numbers 54 and 55). Each wing features a small oriel shop window with glazing bars on the ground floor. Numbers 53 to 62 form a group.
