Description
Coval Lodge is a lodge built in the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of stuccoed brick with some weatherboarding and features grey slate roofs. The building has an H-plan layout, consisting of a single-storey central range and two flanking crosswings. A late 19th-century central gabled porch adds to its character. The east elevations showcase original Gothick Revival windows, which include pointed upper panes and drip moulds with stops. The west front has late 19th-century vertical sliding sashes. The chimney stacks are made of grey gault brick, featuring recessed panels and tall cream-colored pots that resemble early 16th-century decorative chimney shafts. Additionally, there is a small 20th-century flat-roofed conservatory extension on one of the east crosswing elevations.
