Description

Lace Cottages, located on Chelmsford Road in Great Waltham, is a range of timber-framed and plastered cottages dating from the 18th to 19th century. The building now serves as two tenements and is one storey high with attics, featuring a four-window range with casement windows. Two doorways have "Gothic" arched heads. The roof is tiled and half hipped at both the north and south ends, and it includes five gabled dormers with lights designed to fit the gables.
