Description
South Lodge to Langleys Park is an interesting miniature building from the early 18th century, built around 1719 at the same time as the main house. This single-storey structure is made of red brick and features stucco corner pilasters and a parapet on three sides. The front of the building slightly projects forward and is topped with a dentilled pediment and cornice. A central six-panel door is framed by a doorcase with Ionic fluted pilasters and a cornice above. The windows on either side of the doorway have cornices, shouldered architraves, and panelled aprons, with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. Similar windows are found on the north and south sides of the building. The roof is tiled and hipped at both the north and south ends.
